If you are looking for a slower paced ski vacation this might just be what you are looking for. These resorts do not get nearly the number of patrons that you would see at the better-known resorts so there are fewer people both in the resort and on the slopes.
Another way to ensure a cheap ski vacation is to take advantage of group rates. Hotels and ski resorts will frequently offer group discounts as long as you make reservations ahead of time. Also, there usually has be a minimum number of people in order to qualify as a group. If you don't know enough people to get a group together, try joining a ski club. This is a great way to get the group discounts but be aware that you may have to schedule your vacation around the times that the club trips are planned. If you are flexible about the timing of your vacation and you don't mind sharing your vacation with other people, group rates are a great way to save 10% to 20% on the overall cost of your trip.
Cheap ski vacations are possible. You do not have to spend a fortune to have a great time on the slopes. With a little research and flexibility, you can take that ski vacation that you have been dreaming of without emptying your bank account.
